Trainee Accountant, Lowestoft Salary: 18,000 – 20,000 – depending on experience Hours: 9am – 5pm (flexible), Monday – Friday Are you a candidate looking for an opportunity to train as an Accountant within a forward-thinking company? We would welcome your CV! A very rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Trainee Accountant based in the Lowestoft area. Job Description As a Trainee Accountant, the main responsibility of the role is to assist the sales and purchase ledger teams daily with general accountancy duties. Ideally the candidate would be a graduate or a professional with accountancy experience looking to progress to be a Chartered Accountant. You will work whilst training with full support to allow you to gain valuable experience and knowledge, and eventually a well-recognised and reputable professional industry qualification. These duties will include but are not limited to: Invoicing Purchase and sales ledger Assist in the preparation of month management accounts Reconciliations of accounts Processing Payments Support in the development and function of their bespoke systems Person Specification As the ideal candidate, you will need to be very ambitious, self-driven and academic given the study and training being offered, as well as being presentable and professional. Excellent people skills and the ability to work well in a team are also essential. The role itself requires intermediate IT skills including a strong understanding of excel and an overall positive attitude towards your own self-development to reflect the excellent support and training provided.
